Re: [M100] Mark Stein's ROM Board

2016-04-28 Thread John Gardner
It's been a few years since I've used my 8201a / W8.1 tablet link.

This is the converter I use - Breaks out the stuff you need, and

otherwise works flawlessly - It'll run 230.4k with TeraTerm / W8.1;

Not with a K85 clone, of course...

One other caveat - Mine is a few years old now; one never knows

when a vendor's Chinese suppliers will decide to extract the value

from the product...

Yes and Yes. It supports bot 27c256 & 27c512 Eproms. Mark has implemented 2
options for the difference between the 100 & the 102 rom socket.

NTVDM is running when Desklink is up. I do get full communication in
Hyperterm, but wondering should my cable be using Hardware handshaking instead
of jumpered at each end?

Well, boards, Eproms and parts arrived and I tried it out tonight and happy to
say SUCCESS TS-Dos burned first try and plugged it in and voila TS-Dos up and
running. I need to remove the original socket from the 102 and Mount the board
permanently though, I added a socket for the Eprom so I can change out Roms.

Now I need to get the PC side up and running for comm, I still have Desklink
crash as soon as I hit F4 on the 102. I am trying it from a HP Win7 starter 10
inch Netbook though.
