hi all switched on a macbook pro earlier today and can't get a single sound out of it, i tried command f5 to turn vo on in case it was off but nothing. is there anything else anyone can suggest to get this back working? when i turn on the machine i get the sound you get when you immediately

If you have enough site to verify this, is there a flashing question mark On the screen with a folder? That usually means that an operating system cannot be detected. Unless you have an install DVD, then you are correct that a trip to the Apple Store will be required. Sent from my iPhone On
