What I do is I use lion disk maker to make a bootable usb key as they call it. It's actually pretty easy but make sure you have the partition as a guid partition first. I also can use CCC to do the same thing so both tools for me work very well. The advantage is you can keep your lion or mount

Andy, when you hear the startup chime hold down command r for at most 30 seconds, might be much less on an Air though. The recovery partition should boot up and you can start VoiceOver with command f5. The rest should be self explanatory but if not please ask for further help. On 29/07/2013

It probably can, but it will try and make you use disk utility. I really don't' like this method as for me its way too complex. I use lion disk maker which is a free app that can do this and does do this well. You will need at most an 8 gig flash drive, for now. We'll see about mavrics when

Yeah, I've heard of that manager though never tried it. I tried the Dashlane 1 Password Manager which was perfectly accessible for Mac, its free unless you pay for the syncing across platforms so that may be another alternative for those looking for a nice Password Manager and automation tool.
