good alternative to iTunes for ripping CDs

Morning folks, At present I use XLD to rip my CDs as I avoid iTunes like the plague. However one thing that irritates me about XLD is that you can't see the progress and consequently cannot be certain the CD is ripping correctly. So are there any good alternatives? I'd ideally like
