Hi Esther,
I’ve heard about this app. Do you know how well it works in Europe? Some of
these apps are great in North America/Canada but lousy elsewhere.

Hi All,
"Where To?" is on sale today for $0.99 "for a very limited time", reduced from
$2.99. This is one of my favorite apps for POIs.

Hello, Dane, Glenn, Anne, and Others,
If you are using these OCR apps freehand, then the results will depend of how
well you have mastered holding the iPhone flat and aligned with the page. Most
totally blind users will probably get better results from Prizmo in that
circumstance. You can tra
Isn't Textgrabber supposed to support online language translation of text? Been
a while but I'm sure I remember reading something about that functionality in
an Access World review of the App quite some time ago.

Hello List,
I entered 2 different appointments on my iPhone4. In my iCloud settings on
the phone, I have calendar checked to be synced to other devices. When I
open my Mac Air and go to the calendar, I don't have a number indicating the
amount of events for a specific date. Is this a behavior tha
Hello Glenn,
TextGrabber works great if you have a StandScan Pro. I really like TextGrabber
because I don’t need to know in advance whether my document is in French or
English, as TextGrabber can handle three languages in one document.

Hi Folks:
I am trying to resize partitions on my external drive using Mavericks.
I have no problem getting equally sized partitions but I can seem to
find where to manually adjust each partition.
Any help would be appreciated all over the place.

So far no issues here, and I disabled the unread key stroke. Remember that it
takes time to synch it with your account. I’d suggest doing permissions repair

I actually quit using the basic html view as I find the standard view easier to

Actually I still get the finder busy even in list view and it takes about 45
seconds to load all 100 apps I have in my apps folder. so for me the busy busy
thing is still happening and I truly think apple is indexing something when you
change folders which slows downy eh process.

Really? I can do this all the time. What has to happen sometimes, and I had
this issue under lion and mL, is this. You have to cycle through the windows to
make sure the apps folder is open. same goes with cmd shift h and cmd shift o
for home and documents respectively.
Take care.

I am using List view, and Finder works fine in the Mavricks Operating

I have both, but I have found that text grabber is not as accurate.
The nice thing about text grabber is that it automatically finds the text
and takes the picture without pushing a button or tapping on the screen.

Hello William,
All I can think of is that you should repair permissions and if that doesn’t
help, try resetting the PRAM.
This weekend, I had a horrible issue with Pages where Cmd-z caused the VO
command “Save last spoken phrase to desktop as audio file” to be executed.

Hello Krystal,
Try switching to list view. Mavericks seems to have a problem with column view.
To change to List view, just press Cmd-2. You can navigate the table just with
up and down arrows without interacting.
You open a folder by pressing Cmd-Down Arrow and go back up a level by pressing

Hello William,
The short cut is Cmd-Option-l as it has been since this short cut was
introduced and it still works. Ctrl-Option-l is the VO command Read Line.

I just made a recording using a Sennheiser head set with compatible mic, and
