Mavericks and FTP problems.

Hi Folks: I am trying to use the FTP option in Mavericks server. I have no problem logging on to the server via FTP but I am not able to access the files even though I have the server pointing to the necessary dirrectory. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this problem? Thanks all over the
