Hi Esther,
If I use the add button to create a new empty photo album I can then delete
that new album as you describe. However the delete switch button does not
appear before the choir folder possibly because that folder is not empty or
possibly because that folder was created via iTunes
Sarah - I put Audio Hijack in to a Google search, and it took me to the NCH
swift website, where I didn't find Audio Hijack, but another editing app called
Soundtap; I installed this as I understand NCH to be well respected. When I
opened the app, I was asked to change the output sound device
As a beginner, this question may sound stupid. In Windows there is System
Restore which would bring you back to an earlier point. Is there anything
similar in Mac?

Hi all -
I've been installing and uninstalling some audio software from my Mac, and I
realised that I didn't know for sure if just deleting an app from the apps
folder, fully removed it from my machine, under windows, there was an
uninstaller, and even then in many cases, it was necessary to
Hmmm! Being that I don't need it to do much for me, that's a bit pricey -

Most apps are uninstalled just by moving it to trash with
command-delete. There are apps out there such as Appclean or Appdelete
which can help you remove traces of uninstalled apps.

Unfortunately, this was why I went for Audasity and the Mac plug-in to save
as MP3 files. I think I recall you have very good IT skills so I am sure
once you sort out what is freezing your Mac you will do this. Did uyou

Hi andy,
I think that in general, macs do a better job when uninstalling apps then other
operating systems do.
Having said this, however, it pays to get an app such as

quite a few of these out there to choose

As it is open source and freeware I hope that I have not infringed anything
doing this.
I am not sure technically whether the app will retain aspects of my

one of those to get content over to the iPad. .

David - Firstly, thanks for making your version of Olearia available to me.
Secondly, from what you also said, I have another question: Do all DAISY titles
as well as having smil files, come with an equivalent mp3 file? My situation is
that I will need to access some course material in DAISY
What was the problem?
I typed clean my Mac into Google and the first search result was

Maybe it is that it is not available in the app store for Mac.

This is not entirely straightforward.
There are several sorts of Daisy Files.
1. The vast majority are Daisy Book Audio books.
These are folders of audio files, nearly always mp3 files, which contain
additional files to assist navigation through these mp3 files. All of the
content of these Daisy

I have to wonder how safe is it to install software of this kind from third

David - thank you so much for this explanation, most helpful. The course tutor

Just playing around with the lite version of Amadeus. The app is set to record
