Where do you get recipes from? I have text files of recipes. But I would love
to find a good database pre built. Any ideas so I can import it into the
Paprika program?

Paprika makes it dead simple, select the Browser and type in a title of a
recipe you're after and Paprika will find it, from there you can import so
perhaps you could open your text files of recipes, select the title of each and
search and import using Paprika?

I got the Mac, Iphone and Ipad versions last night. Totally impressive
apps and very accessible. more features than I'll every use, but I
certainly plan to expand my horizons. I totally recommend this if you
would like a total food management system.

Yes indeed, I've been importing recipes into it for the last few hours.
Only thing that got me confused was the Cloud sync function, at first I thought
Paprika used the Apple iCloud.
I have all 3 versions of Paprika now, versions for iPad, iPhone and Mac, not
able to enjoy the iPad version
Oo! Man, I wish we could import fromour computers. I was writing one of my
mother's and it looked pretty good.
How about if you search for one? Have any of you been able to save one
you searched for?
Take care,
Brenda

Hi Dane,
As a user of both Paprika and Mac Gourmet, what do you think are the best
things about each?
Cheers,

Hi Sandy, Dane, Brenda, and Others,
Here are the links to all the versions of Paprika Recipe Manager that are on
sale for (U.S.) Thanksgiving. I've fixed the link for the Mac App here, so it
will work for countries other than the U.S.:
• Paprika Recipe Manager for iPhone ($2.99, usually lists
I've only being playing with Paprika for less than 24 hours and both Mac
Gourmet and Paprika are very accessible but to be honest I prefer the layout of
Paprika, I'm talking about the Mac here by the way.
Importing recipes is also a lot easier with Paprika and I think this has been
pointed out
Hi All,
The Paprika Recipe Manager is on sale for about half the regular price in
celebration of (U.S.) Thanksgiving. This is probably my favorite recipe app
for iOS, because of the way it lets you find and import recipes from many top
recipe sites around the world, import your own recipes,
Thanks!
Always on the lookout for good recipe software, I like Mac Gourmet for the Mac
but haven't tried any others of late, just downloading the one you mentioned
now for IOS.

P.S. the problem with MacGourmet is that they don't have a good iOS app that
syncs reliably-- most of the users went over to Paprika for the iOS functions
and portability of shopping lists.

The unfortunate thing is that Paprika doesn't appear to be available in
Australia.

Dane,
I checked it, and it should be there $10.49 Australian Dollars for the Mac app.
Try the link from the AppleVis page for the Mac app:

Ah okay, was looking at the IOS app, that wasn't there, the price initially
appeared but when I tried to purchase the price went to 0.00 and the Download
button couldn't be activated.

Yes, with the new version of Mac Gourmet the importing has become a little
messy.

Well actually I'm at fault yet again smile, I was looking to see whether my
iPhone had downloaded my purchase of the IOS App and then I realised that only
an iPad version was available, I'm not using an iPad right now as I'm waiting
to purchase an iPad Air but the application has certainly been
Hi Dane,
There are separate versions of Paprika Recipe Manager for the iPhone (and iPod
Touch), iPad, and the Mac. You might not see the app come up for your iPhone
if you're running iOS 6. But in that case you should be able to purchase the
app from iTunes on your computer, and then
Okay thanks! its on the iPhone now, don't know why it didn't install and
download in the first place when I bought it.
