I'm about to start Uni soon and will be attending various buildings on a large
campus. I have not yet invested in Blind Square and wondered if it allows you
to save places down to an accuracy for finding the fronts of large buildings?

No it does not. I never trust apps like that. I trust my travle skills to know
where building are and I practice routs like crazy to know the campus inside
and out so I rarely get lost except when I'm distracted and end up 2 miles from
where I'm suposed to be.

depend upon the GPS satellitesone has? There's a button right above the home
button in Blind Square that will give you GPS accuracy within Blind Square.

Actually it does not. I used file vault with no errors. I think the apple rep
did not know what they were talking about. m finding that out more and more as
I help people witht her macs. half the time the apple reps at the apple stores
are wrong and give faulse or incorrect info.

I have connected the monitor using the Apple adaptor. In System
Preferences I have checked the box to mirror display in Menu or something to
that effect. However, I am only getting a display now on the external
