Dear Lynne,

Thanks for your message.

I'm not quite sure which email address is the one working for you.

I've tried sending you a message to the address from where your message
seemed to originate, however, it looks not to be accepting messages.

I'm sure we all would wish Gordon a quick recovery so please do wish him
well.

Best wishes,

Hello Angela, Christopher and all

This is Lynne, using the only address we currently have active which just
happens to be Gordon's.

Please don't get uptight about this, all. The method of joining/leaving the
group has changed anyway. When he's up and about again, Gordon will update
the mailing list section on our website. He's currently hospitalised due to
a road accident on Friday.

Meanwhile, if you have headers visible, I suggest you examine the contents
of messages posted to the group. Just a little self-help here would go a
long way. :)

If you don't, unfortunately I can't help you. When he comes home I will make
sure that Gordon does the update quickly as he can.

Warmest regards

Lynne

Dear David and List members,

I've tried to make contact with those responsible for this list but any email
addresses I have are being rejected.

I can't explain what is going on, however, if anyone knows how to make contact
then that would be very helpful as it is possible they are unaware of what is
happening.

another thing, you try running a list serve when working full-time. I don't see

Good day and good riddens to you.

I was also wondering if doing a re-installation of the Operating System
might solve the issue.

this might better help identify why you are experiencing problems.

Zip files and a printer query

2012-02-07 Thread Roger Firman
Hello,

A couple of things if I may.

Could someone remind me about opening .zip folders and files on a Mac
i.e. is any special software required. The folder has been sent as an
email attachment.

The printer query is just trying to establish if the printer has stopped
working or not. It has been working and the only thing I can think of is
that it was unplugged and now looks not to be working. As there are two
USB ports, is it significant as to which one is used, appreciating that
perhaps it may be best to try and plug peripherals back into the same
ports. Any thoughts welcome.

Regards,

Roger.

Hello,

Since my last message, I have been trying to find additional information

It looks as if you can possibly use your printer over a network by
acquiring an additional unit, the SILEX C-6700WG.

I haven't investigated the cost but you might want to follow-up this
information.
