Hi folks,
For those using GMail, as TJ says, there is a delete all button in the
Trash mailbox. You have to explicitly move the messages there first though.
The only other service I hae going through Mail is my work E-Mail on an
Exchange server. With Exchange, you can delete messages irectly
I think the person wanted to delete all from the inbox. This can be done but
no select all option is available. that would be nice though.

You cannot select all messages at the same time like on a mac. you have to
select each one using the edit button if you want to do multiple messages. then
you can select delete or archive depending on your option and your settings and
your email account.
Be blessed.

And here you stumble across the biggest issue I have with the iOs Mail app. No

Hehahaha. it would be nice but in the 2 years I've owned an iPhone I've never
found a way to select all, maybe if there is a JB hack for those of us who did

maybe in the next ios version, 7 if I'm counting correctly?
