Thanks for that. I used the Mac Mini under Mavericks as you know but haven’t tried with the latter, the machine worked quite okay with that and ran every task I put before it which included recording, streaming, chat and so forth. Yes, a little slow but nothing to worrying, a bit like an iPhone 5 running IOS 8. the machine as you’ve probably gathered by now has 4GB of memory but I don’t think this can be upgraded any further. You cannot play a recording back. that broke apparently in the gm build so I've been told. but to record all you do in an imessage only is hit record audio and talk, then hit stop recording when done, then send. Re: [Mac-access]: Recording Voice iMessages with OS 10.10
I scrolled down and read another post regarding how to listen to an audio message. The first thing is you need to go into settings-messages-and to the audio recording heading. Make sure Raise to Listen is checked. This is a toggle, so double-tap on it to turn it on. Now, this is what I have read. To listen to a audio message, raise the phone to your ear. When you want to record a response, raise the phone to your ear again. Like I said, I haven't had a chance to send an audio message yet. HTH. This is under ios, not osx. Osx yosemite is broken right now. I wrote to apple about this the first day i used yosemite, and submitted the issue in bug report format. It can be reproduced. To be clear raise to listen is under ios. I can't imagine anyone holding a mac book to their ear. Hehahahahahahaa!
