Yes those are the default set of programs on you Touch you can while
they are dancing move them to the left of the screen and move them one
to a blank screen so you do not normally see them.

Thanks Ed. That is what I did. But it sure smacks of something I would
expect of Microsoft to control MY computer (incl. iPhone iPod) with

The problem is when you delete an default icon an then decide you need
it an you are out on the road away from your computer. You would
possibly have to download it again.
Also as an example moblie safari uses the YouTube app to show you
videos on webpages an you deleted it.

flash so you get an error that the file can not be played. I have seen
