Navigate to the file and select it. then press option key and the I Key (or File--Get Info). At the bottom of the Get Info window is a tab for Sharing Permissions. Make sure it says (for your user name) Read Write. If it doesn't you can change it.. Sunday, September 12, 201011:03 AMNora

Nora, Often when you get a message saying that a file is read-only, you can still open it, but you can't save it back with the same name. If that's the case, go ahead and open the file and use Save As ... to save it back with a new name. I doubt that your case is that simple however. It sounds
