Flash also has had a bad habit of sucking down resources once opened. I use Chrome when a site requires flash [1] because (at least in the past), Chrome was vigilant at having the most recent Flash with the most recent security patches. Of course, I think Google has cooled towards Flash, so

John, Thanks so much. My preferences were a little different than yours. When I clicked on Security then Plub-in settings Adobe Flash Player was already turned on. But in the right-hand window there was a list of "configured web sites” with Adobe Flash Player turned on and there was a another
