Thanks Jonathan, I believe Dan’s solution will work fine and like you say I am keeping the modem separate from the router. I went to TimeWarner early this morning to return the old modem, lined around the wall and out the door. I went back about 1:00, same thing and myself and another guy

One final note, the TimeWarner folks told me to call the same number that I called for their modem and they would set up my own modem to be sure it’s working. Not sure if they can set this modem to Bridge mode, we’ll see. John > On Mar 29, 2016, at 7:11 PM, John Robinson

You can't use a DSL Modem with TWC. Netgear makes a cable modem with built in wifi if you want a combo. Sent from my iPhone > On Mar 29, 2016, at 6:54 PM, John Robinson wrote: > > > Thanks Chris and Lee, so fantastic to have all this help at the end of a > keyboard.

Dan, Glad you figured out your issue, hope File Vault is the answer. Wish I could be so lucky. I ran Disk Warrior and found no issues with mine and neither did Apple's Hardware test. Took it to the Apple Store last year to see if it was part of the recall on the discrete video cards. They blamed

If you have the TWC rented modem, there is no charge for the swap. There are modems that will do the fastest 300 speed like the Arris/Motorola Surfboard 6183. I have this one in my home and would suggest anyone who rents a modem to buy their own and save yourselves the modem rental fee and wifi
