I have a TiVo app on my iPad. I can download the programs to my iPad and watch
them. I can also stream to my iPad, even if I am away from my home network but
you need high speed on both ends and even then it’s twitchy.
I have an app on my Mac called cTivo which will transfer the program from
THANKS, now what about recording on your boxes and saving the recording to your
Mac? I have various interviews I would like to save but with the Spectrum
boxes I can’t move the recording to a Mac...

Yes, I have a powered hub in the basement where the cable from the antenna
goes. Then I feed the cable from the hub to the different TiVos.
All three are fed at the same time.

Harry,
One Coax from the antenna, then feeding three TiVo boxes, I guess you have a
hub? If so, are all three fed at the same time or do you have to change which
TiVo box gets the feed?
Thanks,

Alex,
I have a digital antenna on the roof and connect it to three TiVo boxes. Works
well. Although you might need a signal enhancer between the coax and the box.
TiVo boxes without cable connectivity are a little less expensive than those
with.

As I mentioned earlier, I hooked up an indoor plastic, paper thin, antenna for
my daughter about two weeks ago, unbelievably clear picture. She pays Sling
$20 something a month & gets all the programming she ever used with Spectrum,
at a fifth of the cost. I installed an Apple TV so now she
TiVo can be used OTA. Using an Antenna you can get all the local channels.

I use win.net (aye.net). DSL (through AT’s lines) it’s plenty fast for me but
then I’m slow. (win.net)
IgLou is still around. They talk about High Speed Internet (igloo.com

People who don’t own their infrastructure get screwed by those that do. You
won’t get much speed out of IgLou and Win.net and other local providers because
AT, whose wires they have to use won’t allow them their best stuff.
If you do not have AT Gigawhatsis or Google Fiber in your area then I
Been following this discussion -
Ready to cut the AT UVerse cord and just use Apple TV, HD antenna, and some
kind of a HD digital recorder. My question (one of many at this point) is - I
only need a internet provider now, what is my best value in the Louisville
area? Used to have IgLou and
tried youtube tv but there is no way to get closed captions on all channels
that its available on. you have to click on each individual program and CC
for that program only. Thought I was doing something wrong so got on live
chat. The chat guy couldnt believe it either and had to check. Came back

It has our local channels and most sports packages.I signed up for for
trial
and thought I was missing something as there was no place to turn on Closed
Captions for all channels that have them.
Got on live chat and found only option is to go to bottom of each one u
want cc on and turn on.

The sports packages seem to vary by area. Here’s a helpful page that lists all
of the networks with links to see if it’s available in your area:
Anyone know if can get college sports packages? Can’t find on their site. They
have a few on package but not all ones I need

Sandy,
I looked up YouTubeTV, in the fine print it states $35.00 per month. Is this
correct…If so, can some of the other applications be eliminated such as HULU,
PBS, Acorn, KET.
I’m sure iTunes and Netflix would need to be retained.

I tried to get them and must be too dumb to do it. What’s the secret? The

Local channels. I can get all national ones. Just got an email from one of our
locals and they have started streaming all their news live. I’m sure the others
will follow.

Paying a monthly fee for iTunes, Netflix, Acorn, PBS, KET, HULU, etc, etc then
paying to watch a syndicated series I’m getting close to the cost of
cablebut it’s worth not being held captive by cable, we will eventually see
cable lower their prices to compete, or get out of the broadcast
Tom,
Do you want the news from the local channels or the network programming.
If news, perhaps the TV stations’ apps will stream their news, I our local NBC
affiliate’s app does this. But if you want to watch network programming you can
do that on line. We have watched missed ABC & NBC shows
Checked it sandy. No local channels.

John,
We have never had cable - only an antenna on the roof of our house. I do have
TIVO and Netflix and Amazon Prime. I also have CBS All Access so I can watch
Star Trek Discovery. I am going to cancel that as soon as I finish the series.
when Game of Thrones is streaming I order HBO Now and
Anne, you missed nothing, none of the folks in line were for a new product, I
was there because my daughter cut her Cable service, she said today when she
returned the boxes the line was a 30 minute wait and all were doing the same,
cutting the cable.
I was there to pick up an Apple TV, 4K,
Not keeping up with Apple’s latest, what were you all lineup for. In other
words, what did I miss.
