I've converted my mini-mill to 3-axis CNC using the BBB and Machinekit on
the 2-12 image. It works great and I love this conversion! When I grab a
more recent image (3-26) I run into a variety of problems, some of which
get fixed by building machinekit from sources on the BBB, but the app
I just checked which image I have on my BBB, and it is the 1-30-2017
release. My notes had the 3-15-17 release specified, but while that
compiled, it would not run. I think the 2-12-17 release works though.
