Thank you for the prompt insight/suggestions ..

I am running Axis on a diy cnc machine and I really don't see any problems
but the cpu indicator seems to indicate that it is using max available. As
I understand the use of the pru's the gcode execution should run
independent of the gui and the gui is only updated when timing allows it.

Is there a gui for a 3 axis cnc setup that uses less memory than Axis? And
if so, will this affect response and accuracy?

Thanks, I will do a little work the backlash adjust. I have never used it
on my main machine, a Probotix Asteroid, but this is on a small engraver I
built and so there may be some issues with backlash etc. I did install anti
backlash nuts on the x an y axis but I may try to go with single start
I am using Vectric Cut2d for my designs and have been using EMC2 post
processors for the g code creation. Everything works except that the
text on engravings are somewhat distorted, ie a straight line on the bottom
of an "L" is curved. Also circles are not complete, there is a very small
I just noticed a previous post asking $15 per board. Is that still the
price and if so I would like to buy one.

I will check out the config files. Are you running the BBB on a Comet? How
much are you asking for the boards?

Do you have a BOM for the board and will the configuration files for
Comet_NP for the PBC BB work and how much for the PCB? Looks like a good,
simple setup.

Have the boards you had made worked well for a probotix type setup? I have
a V90 and an asteroid and am now working on a diy engraver that I want to
use the BBB on. Finding capes for CNC only instead of 3D printer setups has
been a challenge. I would be especially interested in your board since
