The macOS port project was one of the earlier OpenJDK porting projects and
arguably ran to completion around the time Oracle started shipping 7u4
in 2012.
We've kept it around partly as a mailing list for macos issues and
partly because
of inertia but it really isn't needed anymore.
This list should really be archived as the port project is over ..
macos is just another one of the JDK desktop platforms.
So you should re-post this to 2d-...@openjdk.java.net which is the right
place to consider a patch too.
And perhaps file a bug at java.com since I don't know of any bug
