When I have a USB memory plugged in and unmount it in Finder, how can I
mount it again without physically unplugging it?

Perhaps, but I bet there's a lot of people that have run into task_for_pid
failures, possibly with gdb. And perhaps someone that has a solution that
doesn't involve codesign on a bundle (since
Disk Utility can do this, so I would suspect there are third-party tools that
could do it as well.
