I thought on the newer models resetting the T2 chip covered NVRAM as well. Apparently not, so I’ve reset that as well. One time when you really miss the start-up chimes. Apple Diagnostics found nothing, so maybe resetting the NVRAM will sort the problem. Thankfully I keep a wired

Trashing the prefs worked for one cycle but then failed. Exactly the same as what happened with resetting the T2 chip. I’ve run out of ideas, so has anyone any other suggestions. The problem is that the energy schedule settings will only work once and fail after the next shut down. Chris
