I have succeeded in installing dx from the macports.
However, it can not launch and I have the following comment
dx
Error: attempt to add non-widget child dsm to parent startupui
which supports only widgets
Also, I had the following comments in the building of dx:

I can't build gnucash because gnome-doc-utils won't build. It won't
build because db2omf isn't installed, and I can't figure out which
port it should be in.
