OS 11.7.10 (Big Sur)
I’m looking for advice. I’m trying to keep my ports current, which the problem
with kdelibs4 makes difficult. I’ve been manually upgrading ports (cut & paste
upgrade outdated).
I saw the post about disabling soprano, tried to do what I thought that meant,
but running port
I appreciate the info and wish you success.

Latest MacPorts, old MacBook Air (mid 2013, Intel) running OS 11.7.19 (Big Sur)
kdelibs4-4.14.3_111.darwin_20.x86_64.tbz fetches, update reaches around 50%,
then fails.
Log is very large, don’t know what to look for.
If a ticket has been created, I haven’t found it.
Thanks for help or
Much appreciate the fix for qt5-qtwebengine - successful update on OS 11.7.1

Wondering if anyone else has found problems with the latest update of
Lilypond-devel (to v 2.23.7) on Big Sur (11.6.5) and Frescobaldi (3.1.3)… Had
to revert to Lilypond-devel 2.23.6.
Thanks, Stan

This may be obvious to all but me… However, for any other 80+ year olds
wondering what to do if:
1. Updated from Mojave to Big Sur
2. Ignored Terminal's helpful info about the new default shell, since Bash is
what we use (right?)
3. Followed the very clear instructions about migrating MacPorts
I migrated from OS 10.14 to OS 11.3 without difficulty (thanks for the clear
instructions!).
However, while kshisen.app is in the KDE4 folder of MacPorts, it does not open.
Clicking on the app directly used to produce a blinking board of tiles, but now
only results
In the usual app opening
Davide,
Many thanks for your efforts.

Thank you for filing the ticket and for the information- Stan
P.S.(and off topic) In the interim, I have been using KMyMoney 5 for Mac built
with Jenkins… No problem going back and forth with v. 4 and v. 5.

I’ve been using the native Mac version for some time and recommend it highly.
