I've noticed that problem as well sometimes and it drives me bananas and just
today my vo got noticed totally and I had to restart twice. Lost my work too!

open in TextEdit? If so do the following:
1. Put your VoiceOver cursor on one of these files.
2. Hit command+i.
3. Vo+rightarrow until you find an option that says Open with. That will

If I had to give a percentage, I would say it's about 80% accessible.
Voiceover does not have access to the timeline so editing is almost non
existant but, I have figured some work arounds to do some basic things. I
guess it all depends on what your looking to get out of Garageband.
