I don't know if this is the only way to use Airdrop, but I launch it on both computers, open up a finder window on the source machine, find the file(s) that I want to transfer, do a [VO] [shift] [m] on the file (bringing up a context menu) and then choose Airdrop from the Share menu. You will

Okay, I researched my question and found a satisfactory answer. When you press record, there is a checkbox that says play through. I checked that, and I can hear the sound now. I have a new question related to this. When I create a new track and record on it, the first track does not play.
