The go to command works every time as long as you move play head there

You can find the elapsed time in the Toolbar. I tried to set a VoiceOver
Hotspot there but Hotspots are not very reliable as you might know. And it
seems to be difficult if there are several windows open. VoiceOver confuses
them when reading the content of the Hotspot.

I can find no way to easily determine whether a track is stereo or mono. The
only way I have found is to go into the tracks menu
You can also bring up the go to time option with the command+g command. That
will by default show you the current time in the file.
