Good thought, Colin. however, it was already checked. :) Teresa "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."--Groucho Marx On Mar 31, 2014, at 2:37 AM, Red.Falcon wrote: > Hi! > You have not mentioned about the [control voiceover by apple scripts

I found my speakable items settings in Accessibility. I understand now that it has to do with speech recognition and not with dictation specifically. The speakable items setting was off all along. I've turned dictation off as well, but still get the same lag. Teresa "We're made

Thanks for the feedback, guys. i have a late 2009 Mac Mini running Mavericks. It doesn't lag if I invoke the command immediately the second and subsequent times. I don't use dictation at all on the Mac. Do speakable items have to do with dictation? I'll try disabling them and see what happens.

Hi, I get about a 5 second delay when I invoke the right option t command. This only happens the first time. Then it's under a second. I don't have speakable items on. I'm on a 2011 macbook pro. Lisette s very quick if I stay within the same app. On 31/03/2014, at 5:42 pm, Tim Kilburn wrote:

I can't replicate this. Well very occasionally I can, but usually mine speaks the time in about two seconds. If there's a lot going on it's a little slower. I don't think it has ever been 30 seconds though. This is a Macbook Pro. we have an Air at work which is slightly slower. I should see if

hi, all, I think I brought this up awhile back, but don't remember if there was a resolution. i notice when using option-t that it takes an average of 30 seconds for VO to speak the time and date. The Braille display takes the same length of time to activate. Is this a bug of some sort? I've no
