Regarding VarioUltra, no they've not incorporated wi-fi. If you look for a USB-C cable, I seem to remember they will tell you if it's for charging only. About the Orbit Reeder: I actually did purchase one, but when I got it I,too, realized just how noisy and slow the Braille cells are when

Yes, it is. That was a big reason for my looking into the Activator. I still might end up buying one, just because there’s no other viable Braille display qwerty combo. I currently have an old Focus44 hooked up to my PC desktop, but as you can probably imagine, the dots are getting harder
