: Authentication Is Not Responding?
This is not the way it should work. My computer is much older than yours, and
so does not have a touchID power button. I suggest that you go into system
settings and turn off and back on touchID and see if that helps solve your
issue. I have found
er starts only when I enter my password. The

> TextEdit do not work at all and do not accept any keystrokes.

When I try to restart the computer from the menu, Voiceover says:
'Authentication Is Not Responding' and I have to shut down the computer and
restart it. This is simply a big pain in the neck.
Is this a normal and accepted behavior now?
Is there any work around it?
