Didn't mention Thunderbird on iOS but on Windows. I don't believe
there is even an official version for iOS.

Hi,
You can also access the profile via the QR code that appears on the page
for generating app specific passwords via their web interface and
settings and integrations tab. Once you select iPhone for device what
you want it to access specifically and generate password the QR code
will be on
Andrew,
The app's interface is a bit funky but I did find the settings link.
Nothing about a profile.

When I installed fastmail app on my iphone, I found a link in the app
“applications setings and guides” or something similar. I tapped it and
started reading through the various instructions and guides. One of them was on
how to set up fastmail for iphone. It’s there I found the link to
I followed Fastmail instructions to setup on my iphone by downloading profile
as instructed in the app itself. Once the profile is downloaded, in settings
there’s a new button that says “install profile” which you tap and the job is
done.

I created the password. How would I do this QR code? Am assuming

Hi,
Did you use the QR code to download the profile and let it set it up
that way; or did you generate an app specific password as you did for
your computer?
It seems to prefer the set up using the qr code and profile download on
the phone. At least that's what's always worked here.

Decided to go with fastmail. Added my new account to Thunderbird on
Windows, works fine.
Not on the iPhone. the IMAP/SMTP settings are good. But the first
error was something like "password authentication is not supported".
Both IMAP and SMTP have my password entered. Is this correct?
