Hi Mary,
Yes I see what you mean, it's odd, I tried the same thing and it keeps kicking
you out of the title etc tab, back to book shelf.
I really need to edit my books so the meta data keeps it all together.

Michelle again,
Yes I agree with you I am sure we could keep various settings after we closed

Yes, I suppose you could leave it in the app switcher. But I'm sure it didn't
used to behave like this. I have used iBooks for years, and I can't say exactly
when this started, but it wasn't always the case, or I would've been
complaining about it long before now. Smile.

I don't think bookshelf is an overall setting. It is part of a group of four
buttons apparently, based on what voiceover tells me. And if you're in a

Hi Mary and Mark,
Michelle Stevens here,
Have you tried not taking IBooks from your app switcher? If you leave it there

Hello Mary,
Well, I can confirm your findings. However I am not certain this is a bug;
although you should definitely report this to Apple if you think it should be
addressed.
To others who may also be interested in experimenting with this, it should be
made clear that in order to see the
Hi Mark,
Well, the easiest way is to just open iBooks. Assuming it opens to your my
books tab, which it seems to do by default, you will find that there are four
buttons near the top, just under the buttons where you set your collection and
your view, grid or list. These four buttons are on the
Hello Mary,
I'll be happy to test this out for you but please provide the exact steps you
take in order to configure iBooks.
I will follow those exact same steps and report back later.

In iBooks on the iPhone and the iPad, and I assume on the Mac, although I do
not use iBooks on my Mac, as it is a big pain in the backside, you have the
option of having your books display as bookshelf, by author, by title, or by
category. I want my books displayed in order of title within my
