Yes, that’s exactly why that message is coming up. Go ahead and eject both.
In the future, you can just navigate to one of them, then press cmd-option-e
and it will eject both at once.

Hi everybody, I just sent a thank you message that everything went well. I
renamed my drive Zoe‘s movie drive. I went to the volume on my desktop and
clicked VO shift M. I used the arrow keys and went down to eject. A window
popped up with the following message that is now severely confusing me.
Hi again Tim and all.
Thank you very much for all your help, everything went well. Success, the
formatting was very quick and easy and I am now moving my files on to the drive.

external drive. As soon as I plugged it in a window appeared asking me if I
want to use this drive for time machine back ups I clicked do not use. The

The answer should be yes, that it is relatively easy. Sometimes, However,

So, if the drive doesn’t come up as it should, you can go into DiskUtility,
choose the drive from the sidebar, press VO+SHIFT+M and choose erase. Name it

formatted from the factory. If it is, it may be formatted and show up on your
