That would be correct, but it's not usually the case with SIP, which is seriously unfortunate because SIP opens so very many ports. It's quite easy to run into NAT issues with SIP, primarily for incoming calls, not so much for outgoing. On my Asterisk server I still listen for IPv4 incoming only

That sounds like the right one but as long as the FQDN resolves to a record it should use V6 no? I’ll look in to that. YOu’re absolutely right as always that V6 is much easier with SIP, none of that damn NAT silliness. Verizon FIOS is still woefully behind the times and not offering
