Voice Dream Writer app opens into the last text file used. I leave it with a file open with just one blank space, so it is ready for action. The app is designed for Blind folk to edit text and has brilliant features. HarryOn 30 Jan 2023, at 00:39, Jonathan C. Cohn wrote:THe translation app could

What app do you use for the terminal? I tried ISH and VoiceOver seems sluggish. Also, I remember trying Nano with it and had trouble figuring out where my cursor was using VoiceOver. Ryan Mann Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist rmann0...@gmail.com 386-383-5175 > On Jan

Donna, Now we are getting somewhere. I already have the app so after giving it some thought, I created a new document in iCloud Drive. Then connecting my braille display to the iPad, opened the app and was in that folder. This will work quite well. Thanks much for the suggestion. :) From

Well, the app I mentioned earlier Text Editor is an IOS app. When you open it, it defaults to a list of recent files. However, you could leave it open with a blank document up, so you could quickly get into it and have people type to you. Best, Donna > On Jan 29, 2023, at 7:16 PM, 'E.T.' via

Alternatively, I have a keyboard shortcut set up to open text edit on the Mac. For me, that shortcut is right option D. You could do something similar. Have a Shortcuts set up to open TextEdit and then hit command end to open a new document. I realize it isn’t quite as seamless as what you are

THe translation app could be used in a pinch. Just set both languages to English-US . Or even the mail app just keep a draft at the bottom and don’t put any recipients in the to or cc fields. That being said, I am sure there are some simple text editing applications for the IOS platform. --

For the Mac, I generally just use TextEdit and it works fine for me. I also like to use the Notes app for keeping quick notes I want to refer back to later. For programming I use PHPStorm. But not sure the type of editor you’re looking for. > On Jan 29, 2023, at 5:34 PM, 'E.T.' via
