You can probably just buy that little slide in part for the charger. Or just buy a charger. You can get them on amazon for 40 or 50 bucks, quite a bit less than apple’s list price. > On Dec 5, 2016, at 2:43 PM, christopher hallsworth > wrote: > > Hi Simon and

Hi Simon and Hannah Don't get me wrong. I have been, and can still use, the extension, but due to my home set up, it is potentially dangerous. For example, it could wrap around the chair or even someone's leg. So a new charger would be worth it for me to eliminate that potential. > On 5 Dec

HI Hannah & Chris, Don't get me wrong, I've got 2 ac adapters for my mac book air and one that I use at home I have the extension connected 24 7, The second I have at work and that doesn’t' have the extension as the lead is long enough to go over or round the back of my desk. Either way

Hi, The assessment of the safety hazard level with or without the extender is a matter of the individual situation. If the charger will reach the wall outlet and be connected to the computer without having the cord be up in the air, or not in the direct path of movement, then it is fine

Yah Hi Tim and Chris, The little brick has a removable power connector, that would be the prongs or points for going into the wall socket. These socket heads are also the removable heads from the older iPhone and iPad ac adaptors where the head could be removed. And they are switchable

No, You shouldn't nee the extension, That's really only needed if your further away from a power point than you are able to get to with the standard cable -Original Message- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of christopher

I would not be too concerned, but I would not try using the shorter plug in the mean time. There is a good chance you could trade it in fairly easily. If I remember correctly from my stays in UK, the connector on the transformer is like a UK plug connector in any case. Best

Hi, Yes, and my sighted daughter just confirmed that there will be two choices of connection for the UK as well. That is, one little thing connected directly to the brick, and the longer extender that can be used if you remove the little adaptor from the brick. Later... Tim Kilburn Fort

Hi, Not sure if I totally understand. The MacBook Pro would have came with the charging brick, and two methods of plugging that brick into the wall. Normally, the two-prong connection is connected directly to the brick, and there's an extension that allows it to be made into a longer cord.
