Just to bring this topic back around full circle, So is it confirmed that zoom
does not work on the log in screen in Mavericks? Specifically when you wake
your computer, or dismiss the screen saver and need to type in your password.

OK presuming you've already got to where the key stroke is in keyboard
shortcuts!
What I did is check it on then arrowed to the command interacted on the key
stroke and VO said that edit text so I just pressed the key combination I
wanted and I heard VO say selection replaced!
So I left arro
I've successfully changed that to option+command+0 [in my case] Where did you
change this command? Not able to use go-command-8 is driving me nuts, but not
totally, just a little bit nuts in the background. Exactly how did you do it?

I noticed on mine using Mountain lion under keyboard in system pref's in the
shortcut tab and sub level Accessibility the options to use zoom have no check
box the commands are listed but no option to check them on!
And on a side note the default key stroke to invert colours is the same as on
Ok. Cmd+opt+8 will not work in the login screen, BUT, if you have engaged in
finder, using cmd+opt+8, or in the system preferences, you can activate it in
the login screen using ctrl plus a 2 finger swipe up. it’s the only way to
engage it there.

I use ZoomText. Works fine on mac. Try a trial version.
Don`t know how well Zooms is working. I am used to ZoomText from Windows and
like it.

password area though.
