Sometimes this is automatic, depending on the folder you’re in. But I believe
in the view menu, there is a selector for which columns are to be added. This
might depend on whether you were in class if you were standard view, which is
called something else now.

Hi, Group.
My email messages are in a five column table: Subject, date, from etc.
Lately, From column, for some unknown reasons, is replaced with To column and
I don’t like it.
How can I go back to From column again, please?
Thanks!

Hi, Group.
When I go to message table in Mail, I find five columns in this table:
Status, From, Subject etc. Now I do not find From column. I find To Column
instead. How can I go back to From Column again, please?
Thanks!

Hi, group.
I am using Native Mail in my Macbook-Pro 2017. Messages are in a
five-column-table and I am happy with this table.
I subscribe to several email list and messages from all the lists come in this
Inbox.
The third column of this five-column table shows the name of the individual
sender b
tom. So much easier. :)

Hello Lisette,
I'm a bit confused as to how you're viewing your mail.
I find Classic View to be simplest and I get rid of the preview pane. In this
way, I have the list of my mailboxes on the left and a list of messages on the
right. I press Return to open a message and VO reads it straight thr
the bottom. So much easier. :)

Can you explain how you set up Right Option 1 and 2 to tho to bottom of message
table and top of message table? I went into VO Utility, Keyboard Commander,
chose Right Option 1, but could not find the appropriate action to assign that
keystroke. Thanks.

That command is set to keep me in the same column so if I start in Subject I
stay in Subject!

Hi all,
Is there a way of quickly getting to top of message table in mail?
When I do vo, fn shift left arrow, I get to a button called "select by date
menu button". I'm still at the bottom of the message table. I can obviously
arrow up but that takes a while with a large mailbox.

VO says the word "text" when I use VO+J to move from the message table to a
message. Is this what you are referring to?

Hi Geoff and all
I do not have automatically interact when using tab key checked. I don't have
the preview pain visible either. It's just when I collapse the thread that
this happens. Hopefully someone will know what I need.
Thanks much

Greetings Frank and others,
I went into voiceOver utility -> navigation and unchecked:"automatically

the tab key usually causes VO to read
Hmm I think I can expand and collapse with out interacting. I"ve been able to
do it before.

I haven't found a different way to do it. You have to interact an then

Hello
I search the list archive to see if I could find anything about this and didn't
come up with anything, so forgive me if this has been asked before.
It seems as though voiceover always wants to interact with the table when I
collapse a thread. I don't like this much. Is there anything I
no under web I only see announce column number etc. it still saying date etc
lol maybe if i uncheck things in view menu of mail, it will work?

Hi Wiliam, I was never sure what hat buddy column was for, so I unchecked it in
the view menu. If you don't want column names to be announced, you can
uncheck that in VO utility.
