Hi Gabe, It’s in the public beta, beta 4 release I believe. Not sure when the next Apple official update will be but probably not long since these are just maintenance releases. > On Jan 20, 2017, at 1:44 PM, Gabe Griffith wrote: > > Hello Scott, > Is that

Hello Scott, Is that something that is still in beta or has it been released and an update yet? If it is still in beta is there any idea when it might be released to the public? That is very exciting news to hear that we will be getting the percentage notification back. Gabe Sent from Gabe's

You now get both percentage, time to go and the actual power status whether it’s charging, on power but charged, battery etc. > On Jan 16, 2017, at 1:34 PM, Mike Arrigo wrote: > > Does it do time estimation or just a percentage, I would be fine with a just > a percentage,

Does it do time estimation or just a percentage, I would be fine with a just a percentage, since guessing how much time is left is much more difficult and subjective. > On Jan 16, 2017, at 10:59 AM, Scott Granados wrote: > > Also, in the latest public beta, the menu

Scott, That's good news. I din't think that it would be a difficult fix since the announcement was still made when charging, but not when just on battery power. Also, with a graphic being present for sighted users, there's easy access to the status data. Later... Tim Kilburn Fort McMurray,

Also, in the latest public beta, the menu item is restored to functional. It’s a little different wording and gives a bit more status about the charge and such but it restores a spoken value to the on screen control like we had previously. > On Jan 16, 2017, at 10:40 AM, Mike Arrigo

You can ask Seri to give you the battery level and it will, it's also in the system preferences under energy saver, not nearly as convenient as before, also this will only give you the percentage, Apple removed the time estimation completely. > On Jan 15, 2017, at 10:44 AM, Gabe Griffith

Say Power Status: If your Mac is running on battery power, this script announces the percent of the battery remaining, and the estimated run-time. If your Mac is running on mains/wall power, the battery percentage is reported, along with the estimated recharge time.

Hi, If your Mac is charging, then the battery status is announced by VO, if not, then you have a few options. You can ask Siri, works but problematic in a meeting or other public venue. You can go to System Prefs in the Energy Saver pane and it is available there. Also, in the Activity
