Yep, it's called finder. Seriously, using finder in column mode (command 2 I
think) lets you easily browse down a column of folders, and expand or close
each folder tree. It couldn't get much simpler. I think we tend to look for

into trouble than telling them to edit a config file for the

Will this solve your problem I wonder? Go into a finder window, then into the
menus and choose view. Check show by kind and see if that shows your folders
first. It does with me anyway.

for list view or Command-3 for Column view.

That has not been my experience with the Kindle app, that you must select the
book in order for it to download fully. I've just opened the Kindle app on the
Mac and let it hang out for a bit, then my sighted spouse comes in, opens
Caliber and does his thing. I use to have the Kindle
Try the df -k command in terminal and verify what it says about free space.
You can also try the following command
du -s * | sort -n
This command tells you the size of every file/folder in the current directory
and sorts them by size so the largest is at the bottom.

You mean to just type a bullet? That would be option-8 which types •. I
think of it as a fancy asterisk. Option-shift-8 gives you a degree mark
so you can type that it is 36° outside.
