Punctuation issue when you change the language

Dear MacVisionaries, I use several languages on my Mac (High Sierra). When I switch to the language other that my default (system) language , the new synthesizer still tries to pronounce all the punctuation in system language. Sounds sometimes really weird. Is there any way to change it? E.g.

Hello Alex, I don’t know whether you can do anything about this using third-party voices, but with the ones from the appstore, I haven’t found a way to do this. I haven’t yet installed High Sierra on my personal computer, but the one we use for teaching has it and I hate the way it handles
