If you switch your language roar to be in English US, do you still get Daniel on occasion? What voice do you have defined to read system alerts? (System Preferences->Dictation & Speech->Text to speech tab->System Voice) And also in that pane uncheck: Announce when alerts are displayed checkbox

I have noticed that myself. Often times it hangs at 1% for quite a long time before dying. Just let it run on and it’ll eventually die out. Then you can fully recharge it. Try doing something battery intensive like playing a video. That will cause it to die faster. Sent from my IPhone > On
