I use to manage my mailbox folders using I cloud when I had a Mac. However
while I wait to get a Mac as I will not get one until the Brexit uncertainty is
over, I would like to know how I can manage my mailboxes using my I phone as
Icloud.com is not available until I get a computer.

Glad it worked. The message syncing is an awesome feature, but I certainly
understand the frustrations when things don't work the way you believe that

Yes, I have experienced this, but not as persistently as you have, Phil. My
solution is the same as yours. Turn voiceover off and on. But I only have to do
it once, and it doesn’t happen every day. This is both with an iPhone 7 Plus
and an iPhone XR, so it is not limited to just iPhone 8.

Yes, I experience that problem quite a lot! I have an iPhone 7, and I am also
running the latest iOS, 12.4. I thought it was something I was doing wrong, LOL!

To add to Simon's info, you get to the Finder using cmd-tab to cycle through
apps, or select Finder when on the Dock. Also, when in the Finder, you could
press cmd-shift-i to open iCloud, locate the Desktop folder there, open it, and
paste into that item with cmd-v.

I am not Tim. One way is to press CMD + Shift and D keys. This will put you in
a window that will be the Desktop. Another way is CMD + H to hide the App you
are in this should put you on the desktop provided there are no other windows
open.

You may have tried this already, but it sounds like you are muting Voice over
accidentally. I’ve done this a few times when I’ve done a two finger double tap
on the screen and I’ve had a third finger too close and trying to join the
party. Have you tried doing a three finger double tap

right we’ve tried all the obvious stuff. Somehow voiceover seems to step on
itself sometimes and cut off its own speech. I don’t know if that’s related in
anyway, but this is a real oddity and it has no obvious cause

This happened to me when I upgraded to Fusion 11,, too, and it drove me crazy!
What you need to do is to go to Apple > System Preferences > Privacy and
Security. Once there, select the Privacy tab, and make sure that Fusion is on
the list of apps that are allowed to access data on your machine.

should become the default screen
Note this is from the finder.

It seems like when i try to use Vm fusion 11 which i apparently upgraded to i
no longer have usb devices working.
THey seem just gone and i have tried all i can think of.
Remove the usb controller and reinstall it.
I have reinstalled vmware tools.
No go.
Any thoughts.
