I have a late 2013 model MacBook Pro that is running Big Sur without any apparent issues (apart from known Big Sur bugs, of course). It's probably faster than your MacBook Air. Performance is rather slow, but not obviously more so than under Catalina. On 18/4/21 1:21 pm, 'Donna Goodin' via

interesting. My mom's not all that particular about having the latest and greatest, so if it's slow under both Big Sur and Catalina, maybe I will just leave it with its current OS. Cheers, Donna > On Apr 18, 2021, at 3:39 PM, 'Jason White' via MacVisionaries > wrote: > > I have a late 2013

+1 from me, too. If it’s already on Catalina, I’d think that’s a good starting point for whoever gets it. Besides, why should use your valuable time to do the upgrade? If it were me, I’d simply indicate that the computer is on Catalina and let whoever buys it decide whether or not to upgrade.
