Re: Question about passwords

2021-10-17 Thread Stan ZA

Hi Tim,
Thanks Tim, I did not think to use the “Edit Button” as I did not wish to
change anything, but yes it works.
The “Verification Code”, where does one get it? and the “Enter Setup Key” is
this just another security step?Cheers.

apple wallet and apple card help

2021-10-17 Thread sarai.bucciarelli
All:

I have two Apple id's. My iCloud and my Gmail. Both are associated with my
Apple account.

I applied for the apple credit card so I could buy the iPhone with trade in.
I used my Gmail and not my iCloud when I applied for the card.

I go to apple wallet. Add card and the apple card wants me to apply with my
iCloud account how to sign in with my Gmail account to add to my wallet? Or,
did I screw up and should have set the account associated with the new
credit card to the iCloud account?

First, you will need a song playing. Once you have a song going, VO right to

I would go to the terminal and use cp and mv commands as needed.

Folder and file conflicts.

2021-10-17 Thread Herbie Allen
So my situation is this, I would like to be able to paste one folder on top of
another with the same name and it merge the files rather than erasing the
previous content. I can do this on Windows, no problem, so wondering if the
same can be done on the Mac. Also, is there a way I can rename multiple files
with differentextensions to the same name? Basically, I will have a .cue
file and a .mp3 file. I want them to reflect my show name. On Windows, I can
select both files, hit rename, put in the file name and it takes. The Mac
throw’s a fit though when I try the same thing.

Ron,
Sounds like your Mac Air thinks this is the first time you’ve connected your
iPad to it for backup. Is that the case?

Re: iOS 15 Books Navigation Problems

2021-10-17 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi,

it seems to me Apple Books is broken in many ways. Just deleted the app and
reinstalled it. Let see if that‘s helpful.
The issues I had:
• stopped turning pages using VO
• stopped randomely reading in middle of a page
• the special reader doesn‘t work at all since iOS 15
• using the bar at the bottom to navigate quickly to another page forward or
backward tells me I‘m at the desired page but infact VO reads at the old
position I was before
• often Apple Books looses the page position where I left

Hopefully it‘ll be fixed in iOS 15.1. And it‘s so sad Apple doesn‘t releas
fully working software anymore. OK, bugs are quite normal but it seems to me
the big releases are not more than beta versions which had to become released
at a certain date. But I do beleive the accessibility team works really hard to
keep VO as powerful as it is. It‘s more an issue of the other parts of the
company.

All the best
Jürgen

Hi Jonathan and All,
It is there, but I am unable to read the “PW”, as I could in the past. You can
export them in a file and then you can read them. This is since the latest
update of “Safari”.
Cheers.

Apple Watch Series 7: any input on the swipe keyboard?

2021-10-17 Thread 'Sabahattin Gucukoglu' via MacVisionaries
Subject says it all, really. Anyone have a Series 7 Apple Watch and wish to
comment on the delights of the new slide-to-type keyboard as it relates to
VoiceOver? Would you call it a killer feature that’s worth the upgrade?

Cheers,
