Once you open the the image, it will put you in Icon view. VO right to the VLC file and do a Command C to copy. Do a Command Shift A to bring up the apps folder and Command V to paste. Hit V for VLC and bring up your context menu with VO Shift M. Go down to Open. If you don’t see an open button
