hi, all, In Mountain Kitty, I had Folder Actions set to alert me when there was a new item in my downloads folder. It did not import to mavericks, and when I try to set it up, I get “OSAScript has no Windows” instead of the alert. Is there something I can do to correct this? thanks, teresa

If you are in List View (cmd-2), hit cmd-down arrow. In Column View (cmd-3), just hit right arrow. Note that Column View does not work well in Mavericks and may cause Finder to become busy for quite a long time. Just so you know, vo-shift-down arrow interacts with whatever Voiceover is focused

Hi Brian. Starting with OS X Lion, to download the Vocalizer Automotive voices in ML, open the Voiceover Utility. In the categories select speech and look for the popup button that has all your voices in it. Arrow down once in the pop up or press C U for customize. There you should see a table

If you’re in the states or a US citizen, you can use bard Mobile to read brf books downloaded from the BARD website. Otherwise, you can save the files as pdf or epub, then read them in iBooks with contractions turned off. It’ll only work on the Braille display and *not with speech*. hth,
