hi, all,
In Mountain Kitty, I had Folder Actions set to alert me when there was a new
item in my downloads folder. It did not import to mavericks, and when I try to
set it up, I get “OSAScript has no Windows” instead of the alert. Is there
something I can do to correct this?
thanks,
teresa
Hello Teresa.
Apple knows about this, and they say that they need to fix it. That same error
occurs in other Apple script based dialogues and apps, so I hope they can fix
this bug soon.

Hi all,
Just wondering, How do you find the search friends edit box on the mobile
facebook site on the mac? I’ve gone to my friends page and have been using the
item chooser, but this doesn’t always give me the best results. I found the
search box once, but can’t remember how to find it.

Hello,
No end of trouble of late. I’ve just purchased a few movies in iTune Store.
During the process of purchasing them, I was given a choice to download them
straight away or later. Now, as I was in a bit of a hurry and had other things
to do, I clicked the “download later” option.
Now I
Hi,
First, go into iTunes Preferences with cmd-comma or VO-m to the menubar, right
to the iTunes menu then down to Preferences. Select the Store tab from within
the Toolbar. Make sure that the “Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases” item is
checked. Click OK to get out of the iTunes
If you are in List View (cmd-2), hit cmd-down arrow. In Column View (cmd-3),
just hit right arrow. Note that Column View does not work well in Mavericks and
may cause Finder to become busy for quite a long time. Just so you know,
vo-shift-down arrow interacts with whatever Voiceover is focused
Yeah, it's a bit odd and annoying. I think some of the syncing services allow
you to add subscriptions through an RSS client, but FeedWrangler which I use
doesn't allow it yet.

Hi all, a quick question. Its purpose being just simply curiosity.
Using Mountain Lion what is the name of the Nuances voices actually called in
this version of the OS?
For instence, I understand it to be Vocalizer Expressive in Mavericks.
I may have some follow-up questions down the line but
Hi Daniel. In Mountain Lion it's Vocalizer Automotive version 5.

How do you know if this is the voice that is installed, as I think I just have
names of voices. Where can I go to get new voices on Mountain Lion? Thanks

Hi Sean, thank you.
If you are using Mavericks, in your experience how would you compare the
difference between Vocalizer Automotive version 5 to the newer version
vocaliser expressive?

Hi Daniel. Well, in Vocalizer expressive they've made more voices,
including 4 voices that used to be in Loquendo, Alison, Susan, Kate and
Vina. Also they improved the voice quality to some of the voices like
the Australian Karen voice.

Hi Brian, I was asking about the actual name/version of the TTS's that Nuance
are using with Mountain Lion.
So, my question was more about the name of the version that Nuance call them on
Mountain Lion. Not the actual names of the individual voices you can get e.g.
Karen, Samantha etc.

Hi Brian. Starting with OS X Lion, to download the Vocalizer Automotive

speech and look for the popup button that has all your voices in it.
Arrow down once in the pop up or press C U for customize. There you
should see a table

Hello everyone. I would like to know if it's possible to read .brf files on
the IPhone 5s with a focus 14.
Hi Dean, May, and Others,
There's a deal from Paragon on this for $9.95 instead of $19.95. It was
supposed to expire November 30' 2013, but it still seems to be active, so I
son't know whether they decided to extend it through Cyber Monday. I'll excerpt
from my recent Mac-access list post.
If you’re in the states or a US citizen, you can use bard Mobile to read brf
books downloaded from the BARD website. Otherwise, you can save the files as
pdf or epub, then read them in iBooks with contractions turned off. It’ll only
work on the Braille display and *not with speech*.
