Hi all,
I was trying to help a friend this afternoon with uploading something to her
dropbox. She doesn't remember having ever set up a dropbox account and password
but there is a dropbox folder on her computer but dropbox doesn't show up in
her menu extras where mine shows the status of

find out.

Verizon does not sell locked handsets (full stop). Any handsets manufactured
for and sold by or on behalf of verizon are unlocked.
There is also a true unlocked iPhone sold separately that has the Qualcomm chip

OK, Ron, but, she might not be buying a locked version of the phone. She might
be specifically getting a Verizon locked handset, at which point, what Mary is
saying would be correct.

It was my understanding that Just Press Record wouldn't upload to Dropbox as
well as Google Drive.
I was going to suggest Dropvox, but it looks like the initial poster wants both
Dropbox and Drive integration. Dropvox only does Dropbox syncing, so, there
went that idea.

You mean recorder HQ? I'm not finding anything called HQ Recorder.

Hi Andrew,
If you were to change the drive then I wouldn't suggest anything other than
going an SSD, even a 7200 RPM drive is not going to add much but an SSD will
change things dramatically.
A spindle drive will not add much to things.

Hi,
Yes, you can swap out the 5400 RPM drive for a 7200 RPM drive. It will make a
slight improvement to performance, but not the exponential improvement that an
SSD would make. While spinning HD's are much less expensive than an SSD, you
can get 500 GB SSD's for less than $250 and the access
Tim,
Thanks for this. Do you think that installing a different drive that's faster
might make a difference rather than SSD? It's just that I don't think the
owner would consider. Can one install/swap the 5400 drive for a faster drive?

The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries

If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list,
I would try the clean install option, I do this every time a new
operating system comes out. 4 GB should be enough memory for decent
speed. I have a 2010 macbook with 4 GB and it runs fine, I would give
the clean install a try.

Hi,
In my opinion, a clean install would most likely have very minimal impact on
the speed of that unit. We have a number of those at work and I have had quite
a few complaints from the users with respect to slowness and such like you're
reporting. These users are not VO users either.
Listers,
I'd like to ask your advise. A friend of mine has a 2012 macbook pro with 4GB
RAM, 2.4 GHZ processor and non-solid 500GB drive. It seem to run rather
frustratingly slowly. It regularly freezes and generally applications take a
long time to open. Do you think it would be worth

Any help appreciated!

Open Mail.
Hit VO M to open the menu bar. VO means hold down either Caps Lock or the
Control and option keys.
Right arrow to Mail.
Down arrow to Accounts and press Enter.

Hi,
I'm looking for an accessible voice recorder for ios that will allow you
to upload your recordings to dropbox, google drive etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
