A great resource for pages is a book written by a member of this list Ann and
the book is available from the website of Jonathan Mosem
I don't have the full details but Ann may be able to up date on the correct
information might be a great resource to have.

Hi all,
here I am with more editing type questions that I can't figure out. I have now
decided to get and start using pages on both my mac and iPhone. I think I'm
figuring out the editing part of it but how can I make it so that a document
created on my computer is available in pages on the
Its strange. I do not see that dialog on the iPad. I rebooted the
phone too.
I did find out that iBooks is used for audiobooks but I do not see
the titles there. Maybe in this case Home Sharing really is slow?

Well, that narrows down things a little. I've seen Home Sharing be rather slow
sometimes between iDevice and Mac, but not specifically what you're mentioning.
I'll see if I can play a little tomorrow and figure something out for you.

Do you have your iDevices set to not show Apple Music features. I believe that

I am not sure if this is a Home Sharing problem. Because there is
not enough space on either iPhone or iPad, I want to use this feature to
listen to some content stored on the Mac.
In the Music app on the iPhone, when the library tab is selected, I
get a dialog asking, "Looking for

disable it again.

Hi,
They're not likely put there by Apple, unless you checked some boxes. In
Settings, iCloud, Photos, you can check on if you have the iCloud Photo Library
enabled. If so, then you'll need to be careful as deleting a photo from the
iPhone will delete it from every device you use iCloud
Have you ever done the clean up task in that window? Might not solve
it but worth a try.

Hi Listers,
I've received a message on my iPhone with an attached chat from WhatsApp in
zipped format. How can I open it to read it? Please help if you can. It's a
chat whose content I need to know. I've no WhatsApp installed but shouldn't I
be able to open a zipped file in another way?
I need to reclaim some space on my iPhone and iPad and while photos
do not take up much, I still want tp get rid of what looks to be put
there by Apple. How do I go about doing this? Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
So what does that mean for the average user? Will I be able to scan a document
with ABBYY and get good results and a quality text document?
TIA,

The major issues with ABBY and other tools that rely on PDF is that Apple
apparently went backwards in their support of PDF format's in their standard
library. A lot of the issues are resolved wrt the mainstream products, but I
believe support of the international standards to make PDF's
Hi Scott,
Thanks for this. Glad to hear that all issues have been resolved. Thanks as
well for the info re purchasing options. The free trial was on their website,
not the Apple Store--at least, I didn't look in the App store. However, sounds
like the app store is the better purchase
Hi Donna,
All problems concerning Sierra have been resolved. I can’t think of anything
off the top of my head that would be concerning right off the top of my head.
Just one question are you trying it off the web site or is there a trial
version on the App store? The reason I ask is the
Hi all,
I'm thinking about downloading the free trial of ABBYY Fine Reader Pro and
giving it a try. I have a recollection that a while back there was a thread
that mentioned some problems running it under Sierra. Have those issues been
resolved? Is there anything else I should know either
