The other day I had occasion to connect my braille display to the iPad but could not because my Mac was running. It was not enough to disconnect the braille display from the Mac, I had to turn Bluetooth off. Is this typical behavior for Bluetooth and if so, is there an easier method

Well you could always give charter a shot and if you don’t like them go to plan B. At least they install quickly or they did up here in the north east. I had them while I was waiting for the fiber build for my home which took about a month. Tolerable but not nearly the performer FIOS is. >

It’s just a different thing. Instead of going through a phone company to get to your house like the local bell for DSL or cable they use a wireless system. There’s a central tower with sector panels on top and then they point these small panel looking antennas towards the tower for service.

Oh you definitely don’t want charter. I had them before FIOS. The signal constantly dropped out, internet was about half as fast as advertised, very hard to cancel, hold times over an hour when you needed anything. If you’re hesitant about the smaller guys just wait until you get hooked up

Hi Rhonda, you can’t with out QOS and I’d argue your connection is to slow to take much advantage of QOS anyway. One thing you might do is up your plan depending on what DSL plan you’re on. They may have a faster plan with more upload and download capacity but with DSL theres just not that
